But fear not! With a little bit of know-how and the right products, you can keep your waves looking their best. Here are some tips and tricks for fighting frizz:.

1. Use a sulfate-free shampoo

While sulfates help create a nice lather in shampoo, they can also strip hair of its natural oils, leaving it dry and prone to frizz. Look for a shampoo that is sulfate-free to keep your hair healthy and moisturized.

You can also try co-washing—washing your hair with conditioner instead of shampoo—to help fight frizz.

2. Condition, condition, condition

Wavy hair tends to be on the drier side, so it’s important to condition regularly. Look for a conditioner that is specifically formulated for wavy or curly hair.

Apply it from mid-length to ends, and leave it in for at least a few minutes before rinsing out.

3. Use a wide-tooth comb

8. Don’t touch your hair too much

The more you touch your hair, the more you can disrupt your natural waves and create frizz. Try to resist the urge to constantly run your fingers through your hair or flip it around. Once you’ve styled it, leave it alone.

9. Use a hair mask once a week

Wavy hair can benefit from a weekly hair mask to keep it healthy and moisturized. Look for a mask that is specifically formulated for wavy or curly hair, and leave it on for at least 10 minutes before rinsing out.
