It is important to take precautions during the holiday season to avoid these infections and stay healthy.

1. Wash Your Hands Frequently

One of the most effective ways to prevent respiratory infections is to wash your hands frequently with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.

Make it a habit to wash your hands before and after meals, after using the restroom, after coughing or sneezing, and after touching public surfaces such as doorknobs and handrails.

2. Avoid Crowds

The Christmas season is a time when many people gather to celebrate holidays and attend parties. But unfortunately, these gatherings can also increase the risk of spreading respiratory infections.
