Summer wellness: Tips for maintaining health

Whether you’re planning a beach getaway or simply enjoying the sunshine in your backyard, these tips will help you stay healthy and make the most of this vibrant season.

1. Stay Hydrated

One of the most important things to remember during the summer is to stay hydrated. The hot weather can lead to increased sweating and loss of bodily fluids, which can cause dehydration.

Make sure to drink plenty of water throughout the day, even if you don’t feel thirsty. Carry a water bottle with you wherever you go, and avoid excessive consumption of sugary drinks or alcohol, as they can further dehydrate your body.

2. Protect Your Skin

The sun’s rays can be harmful to your skin, especially during the peak hours of the day. Protect your skin by applying sunscreen with a high SPF, at least 30 minutes before stepping outside.

Reapply sunscreen every two hours, or more frequently if you’re swimming or sweating. Wearing protective clothing, such as hats and sunglasses, can also shield your skin from the damaging effects of the sun.

5. Get Sufficient Sleep

7. Stay Cool

9. Take Mental Breaks
