The Expansion Valve or Orifice Tube

The expansion valve or orifice tube is responsible for regulating the flow of refrigerant into the evaporator. In systems that use an expansion valve, the valve opens and closes based on the temperature readings from the evaporator.

In systems that use an orifice tube, the size of the tube regulates the flow of refrigerant.

Replace the Expansion Valve or Orifice Tube

If the expansion valve or orifice tube fails, the refrigerant flow to the evaporator can become restricted. Regularly replace these components to ensure proper and efficient operation.
