The Diagnosis

Megan had been diagnosed with stage IV lung cancer in her early 40s. She had tried several treatments that ranged from chemotherapy to radiation therapy but none seemed to work.

The Results

After several weeks of proton therapy treatment, Megan went in for a CT scan. The results showed that the tumor had reduced significantly in size. She was overjoyed. She had spent several years fighting cancer and had almost given up hope.

This was the first time she felt that she had a real chance of beating the disease.

She completed the rest of the therapy sessions, and another CT scan was conducted. The results showed that the tumor had completely disappeared. Moreover, there were no signs of any cancerous cells in her body. Megan was declared cancer-free.
