If you’re a fan of apple pie but don’t have the time or energy for a complicated recipe, this is the one for you! With just a few ingredients and some quick prep work, you can have a delicious apple pie ready to bake in no time.
: Ingredients
– One pie crust (store-bought or homemade).
– 6 cups thinly sliced apples (peeled and cored).
– 1/2 cup sugar.
– 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour.
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon.
– 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg.
– 1/4 teaspoon salt.
– 2 tablespoons butter (cut into small pieces).
: Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375F.
2. Place your pie crust in a 9-inch pie dish, and trim any excess dough.
3. In a large bowl, mix together the sliced apples, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and salt. Once the apples are coated evenly, spoon the mixture into the prepared crust.
4. Dot the top of the apples with the small pieces of butter, and cover the pie with a second crust. Trim any excess dough and crimp the edges of the crust to ensure a tight seal.
5. Use a sharp knife to cut a few slits in the top of the crust to allow steam to escape.
6. Bake your pie for 45-50 minutes, or until the crust is golden brown and the filling is bubbly. Allow the pie to cool for at least 30 minutes before serving.
: Optional Toppings
– Whipped cream.
– Vanilla ice cream.
– Caramel sauce.
