Aspasia, our four-legged furry friend is always up for an adventure, and she always has us on our toes. We all live in a small house in the bustling city of New York where space and outdoor time are limited.

This gives us the opportunity to take her out and explore a variety of fun and new places. She loves to sniff around and discover new scents relentlessly. At times, we even take a cue from her and let her lead the way.

Central Park

Central Park is one of our most favourite and largest outdoor spaces we have visited. It is so vast and diverse that you could spend your entire day there and still not explore the entirety of its offerings.

It is not far from our previous home and was always a great place to take her. It is 2.5 miles long and half a mile wide, bordering on the upper west and upper east sides of Manhattan. The park has a variety of activities to offer like picnic spots, lakes, a zoo and a boathouse where you can rent rowboats.

It is always a pleasure to see Aspasia jump into the water and swim after ducks. Every time we visit Central Park, we come across something new and fun.

Riverside Park

Riverside Park, located in Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is a great place to take a long walk with Aspasia. The park stretches for four miles along the Hudson River and offers magnificent views of the water.

There’s a reason why it is a popular spot for New Yorkers to go jogging or cycling. The park is spread over 340 acres and has facilities like skateboarding, tennis courts and a dog run for your furry friend.

Gantry Plaza State Park

Gantry Plaza State Park, located in Long Island City, is another great place to take Aspasia for a walk. With a stunning view of the Manhattan skyline, this park is located along the East River.

It’s a perfect spot to enjoy a picnic, stroll around, and take your dog for a run. While you are in the park, you can also walk around the piers and enjoy the beautiful scenery.

Rockaway Beach

Rockaway Beach is located in Queens, NY, and is a popular spot in the summer months. It is perfect for Aspasia to take a dip and play in the water.

It is one of the best places in the city for surfing, and it comes with a long boardwalk and plenty of places to grab something to eat or drink. It is a great spot to hang out with friends, and Aspasia always loves to play in the sand.

The High Line

The High Line is an elevated park on the West Side of Manhattan. It’s built on an abandoned railroad track, with miles of greenery that stretches from Gansevoort Street to 34th street.

It is a real treat for Aspasia and the rest of us to walk around and take in the sights and smells of the plants and flowers. It’s also a great spot to people-watch and check out the stunning views of the city.

Hudson River Greenway

The Hudson River Greenway is a 13-mile bike path that extends from Battery Park to the George Washington Bridge. It is a perfect spot for a bike ride with your dog and a great way to get some exercise.

It offers some beautiful sites and includes statues and monuments. It’s the perfect place to take Aspasia for a long walk or bike ride.

Prospect Park

Prospect Park is located in Brooklyn and is one of the biggest park in the city. It is spread over 585 acres and offers a large number of activities for everyone, including your canine.

It comes with a vast boathouse, an ice skating rink, a zoo, and a dog beach. Prospect Park also has an off-leash dog area where Aspasia can run around and socialize with other dogs. It is the perfect spot to hang out with friends and enjoy nature.

Battery Park City

Battery Park City is located in Lower Manhattan and is a great place to take Aspasia for a walk. It comes with a waterfront esplanade and a marina. It is an ideal spot for a picnic and to watch the boats sail by.

There are plenty of restaurants and cafes to enjoy a meal or beverage while you sit with your dog and enjoy the view.
